Wiggity♥Swag

So anyone who is familiar with Pin knows what awesome hair looks like, right? We have met at meetups couple of times now and I was so amazed how huge her hair really is! So I asked a few tips, googled some tutorials and decided to try to tweak one of my wigs.

I was stupid and didn't take a "before" picture, but it was this wig and it was super tangled at the ends!

So, since I didn't really know what to do since the fiber on the wig seemed so rough, I was like What the heck! I had talked with the girls at the last meetup that if the wig is already full of knots ( or, in other words, curly!) it doesn't really matter if there are a few more knots! :'3

In hindsight, I should have had more hair rollers to work with. I had to take quite big strands of hair per roller, so I couldn't roll them all the way to the "scalp".

So what I did next is sink the wig into a hot bucket of water! I turned the water as hot as possible and then let it cool down.

After the water had cooled down I hung my hairy medusa to air dry! I guess it would've taken like 2 days to be completely dry since I had such thick strands and those rollers sucked so much water in. But since I was busy during the week I let it dry like 5 days or so. At least it was ready then, haha! ´3`' 

So this is what the wig looked like after drying and these were my weapons for the task! That hairspray is like one of the cheapest you can find from a regular grocery store, but since Pin recommended it I decided to take her word for it and try it out! It proved to be quite powerful indeed!

Work in progress with the teasing! (Why does my hand look so huge...) It was quite difficult because I rarely tease my own hair, and the fiber was quite slippery. But it got easier with each strand! I still have to learn the correct technique and I will probably make some adjustments later! I got the wig to be fluffier than before but not as fluffy as I wanted it to be!

So, how did it turn out in the end? I have a mess in my bathroom at least. Maybe the wig is not as voluminous at the top as I wanted it to be but at least the curls are fluffy!

So here was the short story of my first wig modification! Sorry for the no-makeup pictures, haven't been able to wear any for a while now since I have some problems with my eyes ; _ ;

My Summer 2013 (picture heavy)

I have been such a lazy blogger during the summer! In the beginning of this summer I felt like shit and didn't have much inspiration for anything really, but things turned out great after all, I think at the moment I must be the happiest I have been in a long time! So anyways, here are some random pictures from this summer! :3

My friend came to visit me at the end of May, I am so glad he
kept me company while I was feeling the worst.

I moved to a studio apartment in the beginning oh June but
couldn't really enjoy it to the fullest in the beginning since
I was feeling down.

I think this was my first ootd from my new apartment.

I kind of had to force myself to get interested in doing something
with my appearance again and try to get to know new people.

Friends came to visit and we played Zombies!!!

Got my inspiration back~ Also met a wonderful boy
who made me very happy.

Got a box with 5 alpacas in it! Awesome colleagues!

Went to Helsinki Pride with my sister!

Tried to make myself look like a guy.

Took it easy.

Realized how beautiful I actually am.

This does not make me happy.

Practiced doing my make up.

And I guess that's pretty much it. I really want to get back to taking more proper outfit pictures, I feel really inspired to improve my style and I kind of feel like making it lean more towards to the gyaru style during my free time :3 Also I would love to get some new friends with the same interests so I am working on that as well!

1st of December

Hello everyone. It's getting closer to one dreaded date again....

I'm getting older again!!! Because, as we all know, you only get older when you have your birthday.... right?

I'm not experiencing any acute case of age crisis, yet, but I think it's slowly catching up with me, waah!! TnT

So, off to more cheerful stuff! Today is 1st day of December! And as I happen to know awesome people, one of those lovely creatures made me a Christmas calendar! ; _ ; Thank you Kriina!!

Can't wait to open the rest of them! ^^ I also have a chocolate one, since it was so cheap and I felt chocolate every morning before I go to work might be nice : D

Today I also went to buy some Christmas present, but since some of those are meant for people who might read this blog I'm not going to show any pictures. I did take some from my face and outfit though, so here you go!

Hair do was completely destroyed due to wind and hood . _ .

I know that sock and shoe combination makes my legs look really thick and short, but I wanted to keep my legs warm~ Also, I love those shoes, I think they are simple yet cute ^u^
